You are not alone! It is estimated that 25 percent of the population suffers from a food allergy. Food allergies can present themselves immediately, or up to three days after eating the offending food! Even with the best intentions you may be experiencing a food or environmental allergy and not even know it. Everyday, millions of molecules from different compounds enter our bodies through voluntary or involuntary ingestion. These chemicals come from foods, beverages, medicines, food additives, personal care, and numerous other sources. If you think you may have a food allergy, there are two ways to find out. First, you can do a cleanse, also known as an elimination diet. Start by removing the most common allergens from your diet. The most common allergens are:
- Gluten
- Soy
- Corn
- Tomato
- Dairy
- Tree nuts (especially peanuts)
Keep on an allergy free diet for about fours month, then, slowly reintroduce the allergens, and see if you have a reaction. There is plenty you CAN eat! You may speed up the process by adding a cleansing product such as Clearvite or Ultraclear. (Click here for a grocery list of foods that can be eaten while on Clearvite, and click here for some delicious recipes.) These two products are specifically designed to cleanse the liver. There are many other cleanses, for the kidneys, the gall bladders, etc...
Please request a consultation to decide what cleanse is right for you.
You may also get a blood test (we use the lab US Biotek). This blood test will test the two types of reactions, IgG - immediate reaction; and IgE - delayed reaction. Click here for a sample report. Prices for the blood test start at $169.
Food allergies can range in seriousness, from anaphylactic shock to mild discomfort. We will work with you to find out what, if anything, you are allergic to, and set you on the right path to recovery.
