As our nation prepares to overhaul our health systems, inclusion of chiropractic is the way for all natural health care modalities to keep at the forefront of health care.  Chiropractic doctors are interested in other modalities in a practical way - referring, recommending and including the modalities in their recommendations. Would you like acupuncture to be a required covered medical expense by insurance?  Acupuncture has been proven time and time again to be an effective, cost-saving preventive treatment for both old and young alike.  Medicare coverage is the first step in this process (which trickles down to private insurers).  H.R. 646 would amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage of qualified acupuncturist services under part B of the Medicare Program, and to amend title 5, United States Code, to provide for coverage of such services under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

Are you interested in preventing you and your children from mandatory testing and medicating by a government organization?  I am.  Read more about HR 2218, the Parental Consent Act (PCA), introduced by Ron Paul (R-TX) on April 30, 2009.  This bill will prohibit the use of Federal Funds for compulsory mental screening of children in schools and elsewhere.  I am in favor of this bill.
